Train-Me Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Train-Me LLC (“Train-Me,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you use the TrainMe Student mobile application, the TrainMe Coach mobile application, our related application backend and support services, and the informational Train-Me website (collectively, the “Services”). It also explains the privacy choices and rights available to you. Train-Me LLC 8 The Green Dover, Delaware 19901, USA Email: info@train-me.app Phone: +1 302 202 6911

1. Scope and Roles

The TrainMe Student and TrainMe Coach applications for iOS and Android are the primary Services covered by this Policy. The website at https://train-me.app operates principally as an informational company website and as a location for legal notices, policies, contact forms, and an optional newsletter. This Policy applies to personal information processed through both the applications and the website, although the information and purposes differ by channel. This Policy does not apply to information processed by a coach, trainer, gym, or other independent service provider (each, a “Coach”) outside Train-Me’s role in providing the Services. In the TrainMe Coach application, a Coach may use business tools to manage profiles, offers, bookings, communications, and client relationships. Coaches are independent providers, not Train-Me employees or agents. When you book or communicate with a Coach through the Services, Train-Me processes the information needed to operate the platform and facilitate the relationship. A Coach may separately control personal information the Coach receives or collects for the Coach’s own services, records, scheduling, legal compliance, or marketing. Please contact the Coach about the Coach’s privacy practices. If a Coach uploads information about a client to Train-Me for the Coach’s own business purposes, Train-Me may process that information on the Coach’s behalf as a service provider or processor, subject to our agreement with the Coach.

2. Personal Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Services. It may include:
  • Identifiers and contact information: name, username, email address, telephone number, postal address, account identifiers, and IP address.
  • Account and profile information: profile photo, biography, age or date of birth, gender, location, preferences, qualifications, specialties, availability, and other information you choose to add to your profile.
  • Transaction and commercial information: bookings, purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, refunds, and payment-related records. Payment card details may be collected directly by our payment processor rather than Train-Me.
  • Fitness and service information: fitness goals, training preferences, session history, progress information, and information you provide to a Coach or through Service features. Depending on what you provide, this may reveal health-related information. Please do not provide medical information that is not needed to use the Services.
  • Communications and user content: messages, support requests, survey responses, reviews, comments, photos, and other content you submit. Content designated as public, such as a public profile or review, may be visible to others.
  • Device, internet, and network activity: device and browser type, operating system, app version, device identifiers, push-notification token, cookie identifiers, pages or app screens viewed, links clicked, referring URL, session activity, crash and diagnostic data, and access dates and times.
  • Approximate location: general location inferred from your IP address or information you provide. If a Service feature requests precise geolocation, we will request device permission where required.
  • Inferences: preferences or interests inferred from your activity, such as Coaches, content, or Services that may interest you.
  • Verification and compliance information: information used to verify identity, eligibility, credentials, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or comply with law.
If you provide us with another person’s information, you represent that you are authorized to do so and will provide any notice or obtain any consent required by law.

3. Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information: directly from you; automatically from your browser, mobile device, or application; from Coaches and other users when they use the Services; from Stripe in connection with payments; from IONOS in connection with application hosting and infrastructure; from Firebase in connection with push notifications and related technical delivery information; from Apple or Google in connection with app distribution, device permissions, and notification delivery; from other vendors that support security, communications, and customer support; and from public sources or business partners where permitted by law.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:
  • provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • create and manage accounts and profiles;
  • enable discovery, booking, payment, communication, reviews, and other interactions between users and Coaches;
  • process transactions and send related notices;
  • respond to questions and provide customer support;
  • send service, security, administrative, and legal communications;
  • send marketing communications, subject to your choices and applicable law;
  • measure use of the Services, perform analytics, test features, and conduct research;
  • personalize application content, Coach discovery, and service recommendations;
  • protect the Services, users, Train-Me, and others; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and illegal activity;
  • enforce our agreements and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  • comply with law, legal process, and regulatory obligations; and
  • carry out another purpose disclosed to you when the information is collected or with your consent.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose the categories of personal information described above to:
  • Coaches and users. We disclose information needed to facilitate profiles, discovery, bookings, communications, payments, reviews, and the requested services.
  • IONOS. IONOS provides server and infrastructure services used to host the application backend and the MySQL database in which application records are maintained. Depending on the services configured, IONOS may also support networking, storage, backups, availability, and infrastructure security.
  • Firebase and mobile notification providers. We use Firebase to generate and deliver application push notifications and to maintain the technical tokens and delivery information required for that purpose. On iOS, notification delivery may also involve the Apple Push Notification service; on Android, it may involve Google services. Firebase is not described in this Policy as an advertising service.
  • Stripe. Stripe supports payment processing, connected-account onboarding, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, fraud prevention, tax-related functions, and payment compliance. Stripe may process information under its own terms and privacy notice.
  • Google reCAPTCHA. The informational website uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms against spam, fraud, abuse, and automated activity. reCAPTCHA may process IP address, browser and device information, interaction data, and security signals under Google’s privacy terms.
  • Mailchimp. If you voluntarily subscribe to the website newsletter, Mailchimp may process your email address, subscription status, signup information, and email engagement information to deliver and measure the communications.
  • Other vendors and service providers. These may support application notifications, email, SMS, customer support, security, legal, accounting, and related operational functions.
  • Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to lawyers, auditors, insurers, courts, regulators, law enforcement, and other government authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.
  • Business transaction recipients. Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction, including due diligence.
  • Others at your direction. We disclose information when you ask us to, authorize the disclosure, or intentionally make information public.
MySQL is the database technology used by our application backend and is not, by itself, a separate recipient of personal information. IONOS acts as the infrastructure provider for the server environment in which the database is hosted. We do not store complete payment card details in the MySQL application database when those details are collected directly by Stripe. We may also use or disclose information that has been aggregated or deidentified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to you. We will not attempt to reidentify deidentified information except as permitted by law.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

The informational website and mobile applications use cookies, local storage, mobile SDKs, device permissions, and similar technologies where needed to operate features, maintain sessions, protect accounts, process forms, deliver notifications, diagnose errors, and improve performance. The website’s use of Google reCAPTCHA is for security and abuse prevention. Mailchimp is used only when a visitor chooses to subscribe to the newsletter. Train-Me does not currently use health-related information, fitness limitations, injuries, medical information, precise geolocation, private Student-Coach communications, or Coach notes for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose those categories to advertising networks, social-media advertising platforms, or data brokers for their own advertising purposes. Train-Me may purchase advertisements for the TrainMe Student and TrainMe Coach applications through the Meta Ads advertising platform. As of the Effective Date, Train-Me uses Meta only to purchase and manage advertising campaigns through Meta’s advertising interface. Train-Me does not integrate the Meta SDK, Meta Pixel, Facebook Login, Meta App Events, Conversions API, or Custom Audiences into the Services and does not provide Train-Me user lists or application activity to Meta for those campaigns. Meta may independently process information about people who use Meta services under Meta’s own privacy policy. If Train-Me later introduces a Meta tracking, measurement, audience, or application integration, we will update this Policy and implement any legally required notice, consent, and opt-out controls before that processing begins. We do not sell personal information for money. If Train-Me introduces advertising technology that constitutes a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable U.S. state law, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice and opt-out mechanism before or when that processing begins. You can manage website cookies through your browser settings and mobile permissions through your iOS or Android device settings. Blocking necessary technologies or permissions may affect functionality. Where applicable law requires Train-Me to process a legally recognized universal opt-out preference signal, we will do so in accordance with the applicable technical and legal requirements. We will not state that a particular signal is technically supported until that functionality has been implemented and tested.

Sensitive Personal Information

We process sensitive personal information only when reasonably necessary to provide a feature requested by the user, facilitate Coach Services, maintain safety and security, comply with law, or with legally valid consent. Coaches are independently responsible for ensuring that their collection and use of sensitive information is lawful, necessary, and appropriately protected.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and establish or defend legal claims. Retention periods vary based on the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for processing it, applicable limitation periods, legal requirements, and operational needs. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or deidentify it, subject to backup cycles and legal exceptions.

8. Data Security

Application information is maintained through backend infrastructure hosted with IONOS, including a MySQL database. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access restrictions and safeguards appropriate to the information and processing risk. IONOS and any separately configured backup provider may process stored information on our behalf. No database, method of transmission, or storage system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized account access.

9. Your Choices

  • Account information. You may review or update certain account information through your profile or settings.
  • Account deletion. In the iOS and Android apps, go to “Settings,” select “Delete Account,” and submit the request. You may also email info@train-me.app. Deletion is subject to legal and operational retention exceptions.
  • Marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us. You may still receive non-marketing messages about your account, transactions, security, or our legal obligations.
  • Push notifications. You may enable or disable push notifications in the TrainMe Student or TrainMe Coach application settings, where available, or through your iOS or Android device settings. Disabling notifications may prevent receipt of booking reminders and other timely application notices.
  • Device permissions. You can manage permissions such as location, photos, camera, and notifications in your device settings.
  • Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising. Train-Me does not currently sell personal information for money or use sensitive personal information for targeted advertising. If we introduce processing that is subject to a statutory opt-out right, we will provide an appropriate “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism. You may also submit a privacy request using the contact details below.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
  • confirm whether we process your personal information and access that information;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete personal information;
  • obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
  • limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
  • obtain a list of specific third parties to which personal information was disclosed, where required; and
  • appeal our decision regarding a privacy request.
To submit a request, email info@train-me.app, call +1 302 202 6911, or use our contact form. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to identify the account or records involved. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. We will use information submitted with a request only to verify and fulfill it. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We may require proof that you authorized the agent and may ask you to verify your identity directly. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create or operate their own Train-Me accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. A parent or legal guardian may use the parent’s own account to book Coach Services for a minor where the Platform and applicable Coach permit it. If we learn that personal information was collected directly from a child under 13 without legally sufficient parental authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information directly to Train-Me, contact info@train-me.app. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising.
